Alcotec 6 is probably the most sold turbo yeast in the world. This is the turbo that shocked the home distillation markets in 1993. It is still going strong and it has bin fine tuned to perfection during the years.
This was the first ever Alcotec super yeast and it was simply called Alcotec. We haven't changed the name although there are many more types of Alcotec nowadays. We usually call it Alcotec 6 though, because it ferments 6 kgs of sugar in a 25 litre solution (in 3 days - that's the "3" in the picture).
This turbo yeast is now being discontinued, although it may still be around for a while in some markets (April 2006). We will replace it with the new exciting Alcotec Gold which is a fantastic product. It is cheaper, ferments cleaner and more stable than the Alcotec 6 (which IS a good turbo still!).
You may need to adapt the instruction for this turboyeast depending on the legislation in your country and in some countries making wash or using a reflux still (or pot still or any other device for making moonshine) for alcohol distilling can be completely illegal. Always check your legal position before using our products.
Note particularly that it may be illegal not to add fruit (yes it IS true) in some countries and that you may not be allowed to use activated carbon filters for purification of alcohol (in some countries these are only allowed for water filtration or water purification). If you are lucky enough to live in civilized countries like Germany or New Zealand, using a reflux still is not a problem, it is completely legal.
For flavouring of your spirit we recommend using Vinland essences, a small but very high quality range.
