Turbo Yeast - how to make moonshine alcohol with a reflux still:
Alcotec Gold - budget turbo, extreme purity

Alcotec Gold is our newest turbo yeast. It will replace the Alcotec 6 and it does everything the old version did and a bit more. For pure fermentations, this is the turbo to use (unless you aim at hyper-purity in which case Vodka Star or Triple Still is your choice).

Just as the Alcotec 6, this one will ferment out 6 kgs of sugar in a 25-litre moonshine wash in approximately 3 days. The new bit is that we have used some exciting new techniques for the first time to minimise the need for activated carbon filters (yes you still need them but they will last longer and the result is better).

Note: In some countries activated carbon is only allowed for water filtration (typically in household water filtration systems) and absolutely not for purification of moonshine alcohol.

You may need to adapt the instruction for this turboyeast depending on the legislation in your country and in some countries making moonshine wash and/or distilling alcohol using a reflux still or otherwise, can be completely illegal. Always check your legal position before using our products. Also note that recommendations given on this website, although legal in most countries, can be illegal in your country of residence.

Although we are experts on alcohol production and the filtering needed for this, many of our products can be used in household water purification systems as well. We don't work with reverse osmosis water purification or ultraviolet (uv) water filters - we are experts on activated carbons filtration systems.
